Rev. Brad Hinton comes to us from Pine Grove UMC & Friendship UMC in Albermarle where he has been a Senior Pastor for the last four years. While he has been there he has developed Chairs Committee for strategic and spiritual growth, redesigned Wednesday night Bible Study, led a disaster response mission trip to Lumberton, NC and has been involved with different programs to build ongoing relationships in the community. Prior to Pine Grove UMC, Brad was a pastor at The Newdale Charge in Burnsville, NC and prior to that was the Pediatric Chaplain-Resident at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
Brad says, "Some of the greatest joys in ministry for me are walking with people as they grow in their faith, witnessing transformation, and being Christ's hands and feet in the world."
Brad graduated from Appalachian State with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and has a M.Div from Duke University Divinity School. Brad and his wife Meredith, who is an ordained Deacon in the WNC Conference of the UMC and serves as a youth minister, have a 3-year old son Seth.
