Provide Worship Assistance
Acolyte
Youth in Grades 6 - 12 are invited to begin worship services by lighting the altar candles, and then to lead us out into the world to be the light of Christ at the end of the service. Contact Kevin Turner.
Bible Bearer
Youth in Grades 6 - 12 may volunteer to carry the Bible during the procession into the Sanctuary at the beginning of worship services. Contact Kevin Turner.
Crucifer
Youth in Grades 6 - 12 may volunteer to carry the cross during the procession into the Sanctuary at the beginning of worship services. Contact Kevin Turner.
Lector
Read the Scripture at the worship service of your choice. Sign up on the board to the right of the Welcome Center in the Gathering Space or contact Jonna Eichorn.
Communion Server
Help serve communion on Sunday mornings at the service of your choice. Communion is served every Sunday at the 8:00 a.m. service and the first Sunday each month at all services. Contact Jonna Eichorn.
Worship Service Assistant
Help keep services running smoothly by ensuring key people are present, collection plates are in the proper location, the Bible on the lectern is turned to the right page, and by lighting baptismal and acolyte candles. Contact Bob Reid.
Sanctuary Steward
Keep pew racks straightened and stocked with prayer cards, offering envelopes, pencils, and guest books. Contact Donna Warren.
Soundboard Operator
Help with worship services by operating the sound board. Experience a plus, but not required; training will be provided. Contact Brian Abe.
Video Camera Operator
Serve on Sunday morning by operating remote cameras and video recording worship services. Experience a plus, but not required; training will be provided. Contact Brian Abe.

Greeting Ministry
Welcome members and guests to church services; answer questions, give directions, etc. Contact Charlotte Thomas.
Welcome Center
Show warm hospitality to guests and members by answering questions, giving directions to locations in the building, and offering general information as needed. Contact Charlotte Thomas.
Parking Lot Greeters
Be the friendly face of DUMC by greeting in the parking lot on Sunday mornings. Contact Charlotte Thomas.
Usher
Extend greetings to people entering the Sanctuary, hand out bulletins, collect offering, and clean up pews after services. Also serve for special services. Contact Martha Atwater.
Pines/Williams Place Transportation
Drive our church bus to take our members from The Pines or Williams Place retirement community to/from Sunday School and worship services on Sunday mornings. Contact Jonna Eichorn.
First-Time Guest Outreach
Make welcome calls to first-time guests to help them get connected with our church. Contact Charlotte Thomas.
Assist with Children & Youth
Nursery
Provide care for our infants through age two. Contact Shaun Jayne.
Childcare
Each Sunday, we receive and care for many young children in four rooms from 8:00 a.m.—noon. Adult and youth volunteers are needed. Contact Shaun Jayne.
Children's Music
Help children learn to enjoy music through singing or ringing by assisting in one of the many choirs. Contact Virginia Herrick.
Children’s Education
Be a Sunday School Teacher, Substitute Teacher, Hall Monitor, or Preschool Supply Team Member. Contact Menita Mercuri.
Puppet Ministry
Adults and youth are needed with performances. No puppet experience needed. Contact Heather Smith.
Special Blessings Buddy
Hang out with one of our Special Blessings kids during Sunday School or other church events. Contact Menita Mercuri.
Youth Ministry
Get to know our youth by working with them, teaching, and/or just hanging out. There are many opportunities available: Sunday a.m. and p.m., life groups, and special events. Contact Evan Nester.
